Brick Platform enables the creation of portals and websites optimized for the main search engines (Yahoo, Google, Virgilio…)
In order to have a good indexed web portal (meaning that it appears among the first results of the search engine), constant editing activity and technical competences in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) are essential.
Brick facilitates the activities of the editor working on the indexing of the website. In fact, Brick web interface enables not only a complete management of the web contents (texts, images, link…) but also of specific functions to index the web pages: insertion of given tags such as keywords, description, ALT for images etc.
Brick Platform is constantly updated according to SEO requirements: this is fundamental to follow the search engines development and their modification of indexing algorithms.
From the web interface, Brick enables also non-technical personnel to
- Insert in each web page:
- Keywords
- Tag description (for ex, the text which appear in Google results)
- Revisit-after tag: to indicate how often the search engine should visit the website
- Speaking URL
- Web pages titles
- ALT on images
- Manage the eCommerce catalogue according to SEO:
- For each catalogue category, it is possible to set keywords, description, revisit-after tag, URL.
- For each product detail, you can set the URL which will be appearing: it is crucial for an appropriate and targeted indexing of each product.
- Add a Google Site Map: Google tool useful to give appropriate information about one’s own website
- Insert the robots.txt file to inform the search engines which web-pages are to be indexed and which not
- Visualize access statistics detailed for pages and users in order to check users’ visit to the website.
